Top 10 Moments of 2016-17: #3 Emmah Spahr Wins North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year

The #3 top moment of the 2016-17 season is Emmah Spahr winning the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey player of the year. She was the only athlete this year from UMF to win a player of the year award in the NAC.

She scored 19 goals for the Beavers including a four goal game against Framingham St and a hat trick against Husson and Becker. Her 19 goals tied the school record in a single season. Against conference opponents, the forward topped the league in both goals (8) and points (16).

She also landed in a tie at the top for game-winning goals (2) and in the top-two in both shots (22) and shots on goal (16). Spahr scored at least one goal in each conference game. She finished tied for 15th in goals per game in the NCAA with 1.06.

Spahr will return to the Beavers next year hoping to help lead the team to another North Atlantic Conference Championship.
