Beavers Edged Out in Pitching Duel

Bridgeton, Maine -  UMaine-Farmington has a pitching duel against Lyndon State on Saturday afternoon at Bridgeton Academy in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action.

Game One (L, 10-2)

  • Jimmy Parks went 2-4 with one RBI while Isiaah Boria went 1-1 with the other RBI for the Beavers.
  • Nick Attaliades-Ryan, Riley Chickering, and Ryan Simard each tallied a hit.
  • Nate Pushard went 4.1 innings, giving up eight hits, three earned runs with two walks and three strikeouts. Gavin Arsenault went two-thirds of an inning, giving up three hits and two runs. Justin Rodrigue also went two-thirds of an inning, giving up three hits, three earned runs. Nick Gallant finished the game giving up one hit.
  • Codi Smith went 4-5 with three RBI's while Jason Doris went 4-4 with three RBI's.
  • Three Hornets notched an RBI, Ben Rollins, Sam Ognenoff, Ian Machia and Zach Hale.
  • James Mundy went six innings, giving up three hits and one run while Neil Robinson went one inning, giving up three hits and one earned run.

Game Two (L, 2-1)

  • Brett Elliot went six strong innings for the Beavers, giving up five hits, no runs and had three strikeouts. Gavin Arsenault went two innings, giving up four hits, two runs and had one strikeout.
  • Chase Malloy went 2-3 while Ryan Simard went 1-1 with an RBI. Jimmy Parks, Nick Attaliades-Ryan, and Taylor Lockhart each notched a hit.
  • Jason Doris went 3-3 on the day for the Hornets while David Laroche went 1-1 as a pinch hitter with two RBI's.
  • Jake Jourdain went 6.1 innings, giving up four hits with seven strikeouts while Andrew Whalen went 1.2 innings, giving up two hits, one run with two strikeouts.
